I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature and a Minor in Communication. I chose to focus on writing within my degree coursework so I could gain experience in both fiction and nonfiction writing.

During my time at Santa Clara University, I created and started a food blog that I ran for a year as a way to combine two of my loves—writing and food. I was also a Featured Entry in a Digital Storytelling competition with my piece Michelle Obama: A Cultural Icon.

For one semester, I had the privilege of studying abroad in London, UK at the Foundation for International Education (FIE). My time there allowed me to study the works of Shakespeare in its place of inception—what a treat. 

In my later years at Santa Clara University, I was honored to became a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society. Both memberships came as a surprise to me and I was sincerely honored by the recognition.
