Writing has always been my thing. It's something I've loved doing since I was in grade school and a skill that I was able to study deeply by dedicating my undergraduate degree to it. 

About halfway through my time at college, I realized that it truly was my vocation. I am incredibly lucky to also have the opportunity to use my passion in my career. 

I found that paying close attention to the details of a product helped me create a more enticing and accurate description in my copywriting work. It can be the little things that attract the customer, like pockets on a dress or comfort technology in a shoe.
 

I also believe this skill carries over into creative writing in the way my choice of words can inspire emotion in the reader. When we miss someone, we can ache for them, long for them, and wish for them. Each word carries a different action that evokes a different emotion felt in a different part of the body. 

What a beautiful thing we can do, all with the power of a single word. 

Ah, editing. The often-forgotten other half of writing. My love for editing is as deep and strong as my love for writing. 

 

It's something I also especially enjoy doing for others, so much so that I have become my family's own personal editor. My approach is to keep their voice and their style alive, but simply polish up the little things so that their words can truly shine.
